The Gazans have lived in their own self governing area since Oslo over 20 years ago. Israel has no claim on the territory. All that Israelis want is for the Gazans to get out of their lives. As a result Israel has established controls over import to Gaza. Most any thing can go in but has to be checked. Only weapons are not allowed (reasonably)…[Read more]

Seriously, come in to my classroom and see some of the children there tackle work that they find tough. Wonderful examples of resilience.

  • It isn’t a winning strategy in the long term, though – whatever you do in European Roulette you will tend towards losing an average of 1/37th of the total amount you wager, the house edge is built in. (1/74th for French Roulette, 1/19th for American Roulette with the 0 and 00).

If I wear heels my calves ache ! Cant think of anything Ive done differently but past 2 or 3 months have been very painful. I cant take any anti inflammatories…[Read more]

  • Ta, really helpful. Guess I need to get used to doing wrong things like cooking onions til they’re brown.

  • I don’t know how to cook curries at all, and I want to cook a slow-cooked beef or lamb curry for tonight. When I look at recipes, they all sound horribly wrong to me. They involve things like covering the raw meat in yoghurt and then putting that, cold, into a simmering sauce. The image that this conjurs in my head is not something I want for…[Read more]

    Isn’t this normally a resistor failure ?

@gary yes thanks, that video helped me a lot. i think that may have been the initial problem with only blowing on max, but didn’t fix- something else caused total failure.

I then focused on the heater control panel as suggested and measured voltages there-…[Read more]

  • Headspace is great – it is a mindfulness app available online, where the guy has THE most amazing voice which is totally hypnotic 🙂 Other than that, when I am having trouble getting to sleep I do the ‘mind lists’ thing where I list for example a country beginning with each letter of the alphabet etc…. • After 9 months of doing naff all the OH and I started cycling again a few weeks ago with the aim of doing the BHF 46mile ride. I’m really starting to feel fitter (although if I stopped eating and shed a few pounds I’m sure I’d feel even better!) and we’re gradually building up the route length, cycling more or less every other day and adding a few…[Read more]

blower on picasso stopped working on 1-3 then finally on 4. fuses appear fine. replaced heater resistor unit but no luck. have tested motor – spins ok. meter shows no voltage getting to motor with engine running and heater control on.
