Appearing on the news Professor Ravi Gupta is warning that we are already in the early stages of a third wave and that because so many people are now vaccinated we are likely to see a super mutant variant of covid19. His comments are simply his OPINION and are not based upon any scientific evidence at all. The majority of the most elderly and most vulnerable most at risk of dying from covid are now FULLY vaccinated and with hospital admissions and deaths continuing to decline. Professor Ravi Guptas comments do not have any scientific merit at all and simply fear mongering. They are aimed at spreading fear and anxiety and at a time when so many people are struggling to cope and are taking their own lives. More people are committing suicide than dying from covid19 and for Professor Ravi Gupta to spread unproven covid conspiracy theories like this is abhorrent!
