They are in France. A perfectly fine country.

This is a silly argument. So all African/middle East migrants should stay at the first fine/safe country they get to. Basically Italy, Greece et al get swamped by 20 million plus people. That country collapses, they move on. The next country collapses..

If we just redistribute those at need like we have done in the past then there’s less risk to neighbouring countries. Right now countries like the US are morally bankrupt for turning their backs on those at need. Our priest gave a great speech at Christmas telling the congregation to no longer call themselves Christian if they will turn a refugee from their door.

@sam can you paste the exact quote? I was under the impression he said something along the lines of “why are we letting all these people from shithole countries in here?”

There are countries that are shitholes. That’s why lots of people are leaving them. I don’t really have a problem with that description, just what he wants to do about those people who have decided they are not going to waste their lives living in a shithole.

Seriously? Applying such a word to entire countries and by clear implication all of their inhabitants?

@sam Which specific countries? And how does referring to a country (unnamed,) implicate it’s residents?
